Default Dis Module Location on Diff

Hi Everbody new here but owned Volvo's since 2005
T5(X PC)
V70
XC70 (present car)

I have a problem with the Anti Skid Service required.
Main dealer quotes £1400 for a new one !!!!

I want to remove the Module to see if there is anything that can be done with the module.Having read that dry joints are common.....

I know it's on the rear diff but is it on top or below ???
It is held on with 4 Torqx screws but I carn't find them !!!

Any answer would be a great help
Cheers
Max.

You mean the DEM held on with 2 torx screws near the back end of the propshaft it has two electrical plugs on it ..
there are companies which repair these , a better option i would think ..

Do you know which fault codes it has? DEM fault isn't as common as haldex pump failures, which would be considerably cheaper to fix.

True. If DEM is "offline" in the bus it's the probable cause (unless its a burnt fuse), but if its online and stores a fault code about something, I wouldn't be sure that it actually requires a new DEM module.

Have a look in this thread before you part with £1400.
