Default Oil leak and Tyre Advice Volvo XC70 51 plate, 2.4 petrol

Hi,

Just bought the above car that is sitting at 121000 miles, full Volvo service history until 100000 then independent .

The front two tyres need replaced now, and the rear two have about 4mm left. I cat really afford to splash out on 4 pirelli scorpions at this time. Can I change the front two now, and the rear two next month or will I wreck the 4 wheel drive transmission??? I would only be doing about 300 miles or so.

Secondly there appears to be oil coming from the turbo hose at the right hand side of the radiator....not a huge amount...just looks dirty in general. There also appears to be another tiny leak at the rear of the turbo unit, again doesn't look anything major! My question is, is the turbo on the way out or is it just needing seals etc replaced.

On a better note, it drives very well, smooth automatic gear changes...just hope I haven't got a pig in a poke.

Any advice will be very much appreciated.
