Just what I was looking for. My 2009 s40 1.6 petrol r design sport has another condenser stone chip.

1. This seems to be common, any possible way to protect new one with wire mesh or anything or any aftermarket brand that is stronger.

2. Is it possible to see part number on condenser, can I see without disassembly or how far do I have to go to get part number so I can get correct condenser

Seem to be few being sold for my car, Vida telling me 31356000 and/or 31356002

Did anyone get a condenser like this. Its from a 2009 s40 1.6. Obviously damaged, only lasted a year, not sure if it's stone chip or something else.

Anybody know if a nissens 940154 fits

I've taken out my condenser only to get part number, refitted it until new one arrives

But I've noticed inside my car that dash vents not blowing air out too much. The left vents are also warmer than right vents. Could I have done something without removing condenser

Looks like a great guide, thanks.

I’ve been putting this off for a while on my v50 due to cost and would like to do it myself. So, genuine Volvo part or aftermarket?

Any recommendations for an aftermarket condenser?

Also, how do I know it there is any gas left? I’m fairly sure it’s empty as it has not worked for a year or so.

Thanks.

If anyone has those images from earlier in the thread that would be of great use also, mine appears to have the little intercooler at the front and is D5 so any help appreciated

The euro carparts condenser didn't fit. does anyone know how to find the part number I think it's maybe slightly different as is d5? in the sticker on old one is 121130274 and 35882.
