  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

yes no harm in that in fact just plugging it in and out a few times might help , but if not you will need the 4 relevant terminals changing to gold plated ones .

still don't rule out a faulty air bag igniter .

pull that top part upwards equally each side or you might break it .. it goes up about 6mm to unlock the connector

should I disconnect battery first or not ? before i pull this connector ?

yes that would stop fault codes if you have nothing to clear them with ..

*** UPDATE *** PROBLEM SOLVED ***

so I took it to one garage and they took driver door card off and checked all cabling behind door card including airbag etc. They reseated and secured all connectors. Mechanic said one of the connector was loose and had some corrosion on pins.

all sorted now and no more airbag issue.

thanks to every one in group who tried to help me.

that is odd as SRS system contacts are gold plated .... maybe there is water leaking into the door .

yea thats what i thought.
but i didnt try to dig in too much, i was just happy that issues is fixed now, so paid him, put roof down and drove away
