Just to throw my two pennyworth, I believe that all classic cars will end up needing parts that outweigh their own value its the nature of the beast unfortunately. But if the car is loved so to speak then its a simple case of not should you spend the money but can you afford to? I've made the mistake of getting rid of cars in the past that needed work only to end up with a worse car!! I am also a great believer on sourcing parts from local scrappies etc as my budget is very restricted. Hope you get this sorted Jim without breaking the bank so to speak

Thumbs up Steering rack

Hi Jim,

Thanks for your reply. I'll check if I can see any marks/no's on this rack that will identify it for whichever car. Is yours a v6 or a redblock 4?

In any case..I'm willing to hang on to it for a good while yet if you'd like. I know your situation..been there..done that..!! Hopefully would be off my hands by the end of August though.

Greetings from sunny Swansea

Gareth

Good,and valid point Sir STUpid.

Jim760,I think you have to bite the bullet ad do the job,or get the job done, cos when the winter comes there is a high possibility of you getting stuck in your drive, moving straight forwards and backwards.I know, it happened to me.....
