Only just realised that I haven’t updated the specs since having the hybrid turbo and Nissan skyline GTR intercooler installed...with the methanol kit she’s now doing 239BHP & 435ftlb of torque..

Its good that there are people out there who are willing to use some of the less obvious choice of engine as a starting block for tuning them up.

The 2.0d is probably the most common engine you'll find in these cars and while they go well enough as standard, they could definitely use a bit more drama to liven things up a bit.

How are you finding nature of the power delivery with the mods?

The car puts the power down very well in the dry although the wheels do tend to spin a bit in 2nd on boost but in wet/damp conditions I can spin the wheels in 3rd going into 4th!..all in all though she is quite well behaved considering the amount of torque she’s putting down..

maybe next on the list is an lsd?

what tires and width are you running, maybe have a look at some PS4's 235/40

I had these problems running standard power on the T5 which I think is similar to what you are putting down now with budget tires (came with the car) After getting the PS3's and then 4's and a wider tire, it has cured any of the day to day wheel spin. The PS4's are great great tires in both the dry and wet.

My car has 225/40’/18’s on..my pal works at national tyres and he sorts them out for me..my car has around 15BHP more than a T5 but it’s not the power..it’s the torque..a T5 has 239ftlb whereas mine has 435ftlb ..I’m into big V8 territory..lol..

Yeh the standard tire is 225 and going up to 235 makes a massive difference in both acceleration and cornering grip, so it should help in some way.

What tires are you running as I found PS4's incredibly good at putting the power down on the ground and defenitly good enough in the wet.

Is there maybe a torque limiter you need to look into then? no idea on these but might help the wheel spin.

Actually I think the standard tyre is 215/40/18?...not sure what manufacturer tyre mine has but they aren’t a big name at stupid money!..like I said,my pal at National tyre sorts my tyres and I know that he would only put tyres on my car that he puts on his own..a “torque limiter “...torque is exceleration and I don’t want to limit that..lol..:-)..just to add..he’s got a BMW 535d with around 500BHP and over 700ftlb of torque and I’ve got the same tyres as him..

Just installed an oil catch can as these engines don’t breathe particularly well when modified..
