Default MAF - V70 - Fixed or Removable sensor housing?

Hi, can anyone help answer a MAF question?

On my V70 D5 2006 it has a MAF sensor that is fixed/glued into the plastic housing.

BOSCH 0281-006-184

But there is a similar looking MAF for the Volvo with a removable sensor i.e. it unscrews and pulls out. Similar to my other cars.

BOSCH 0280-218-108

What I want to do is get an old MAF that has the removable sensor, fit that to my car and just buy the sensor and screw/fit a new sensor.

Would that work? Or are the connections different to the wiring?

Seems I am being fleeced for a whole lot of plastic!

Many thanks, Richard

Suggest you post in the >2000 section, this is for V70 up to 1999
