Default Vovlo v50 rear shock absorbers

As I understand then there is two types of shock absorbers for volvo v50 2.0d 2007. One is big and “fat”, the other type is like a regular shock absorber, thats correct? Is there any aftermarket shock absorbers for big and “fat” ones? OE code on shock absorber - SASCH 89 4104 444 128
If I replace them to regular ones, which springs should I chose? Maybe some codes please?

I'm only aware of Sachs making one type for the V50 unless you have self-levelling suspension. There are a multitude of springs but the shock options were either standard or self-levelling Nivomat.

I went standard Sachs shocks with heavy duty springs. Beware though that Sachs HD springs are, oddly, shorter than standard ones so I had to put in Grayston Spring Assisters to lift the rear to stop it looking daft.
