Default window bounce

copied from another recent post of mine because I think it should be a thread of it's own right:

this is in addition to the usual pull up and hold it there a few seconds, plus pulling the fuse to reset the unit:
like this

fixed window 'bounce'
=============

1 - clean out tracks with some fabric cleaner and a rag on the end of a screwdriver. many times until not so black on cloth

2 - remove door card and pull off the two (inner / outer) horizontal rubber edge strips. spray on lots of fabric cleaner and scrubbed the felt strips again until not black on cloth. you'll have to loosen off the wing mirror to put the external rubber strip back on properly

3 - refitted and tested, worked ok ish but looking from top it looked like the window is pushing at the outer door skin. just a guess but i reckon someone's been 'bumming' the door shut or leaning on it, which pushed the outer skin in a bit. Gently worked it outwards just a tad by hand. don't pull hard and put a kink in it!
