Default Refurbished abl xenon headlights

And fitted some refurbished abl xenon headlights to somebody else’s V70.
He was very happy with the results....

Yeah, these look great.

For clarity, the active bending headlights are from 2007+ models, and can be installed on my 06 v70?

Yes they can be installed on your 2006, together with the button on the console and the headlight controle module, if you have xenon headlights now, it’s very easy, if you have halogen headlights you have to install automatic leveling sensor etc on the back axle...

I've got a question regarding the ABL retrofit. I'm planning on doing this in my own car equipped with bi-xenons.

My understanding from this thread is that the ABL (bending) will work without any coding/CEM cracking as long as you have an HCM. My question is if there's any downside to not having the coding done if I'm not too bother about the button?

Reason for asking is that I'm having trouble finding someone who can crack my CEM locally.

Not coding the cem from bi-xenon to abl-xenon will result in headlight faultcode, and with that: automatically put the headlights in the lowest position, not to blind upcoming traffic….. safety issue from the factory….

Thanks onewheel!

Looks like I might have found someone who can do the configuration change.

Does anyone know how to wire the button for the headlights? The HCM doesn't appear to have any other inputs other than the factory pre-run connector.

You don’t need to wire the button…. It fits right in the next slot to the last button…
