Default Diesel friendly DICE

Anyone interested in getting a clone DICE unit - I have just got myself one from OEMScan via AliExpress. They have a special offer on at the moment, it cost me $114 which works out at just over £75. I can confirm it works as expected with the diesel.

I got the old shape one but I noticed tonight they seem to have both the old shape and the new shape one now on offer for the same price...

New Shape

I'm not 100% sure if the new shape works with the diesel - it says it does in the listing but confirm it with the seller first. I had very quick replies back from them, no problems with communication and postage was super quick - ordered on Monday and arrived on Thursday.

Reduced price offer is good for the next 18 days apparently. Fill yer boots.

v40alex, did you get a import charge from DHL for this unit?
I ordered one and got a text from DHL earlier with a import vat or admin charge to pay. Clicked on the link and takes to a DHL site for payment but then looked on laptop on DHL website for tracking parcel and it doesn't say anything about charges, just tells me where my parcel is. There is also a link on the DHL website with regards fraudulent emails etc.
Being as suspicious as I am thought I would ask if you had this?
Cheers.

A bit cheeky, but you could ask the seller to mark the price of the item at a much lower price and then you don't pay any extra fees.

Unfortunately I didn't think of this when I bought my first DICE and I had to pay £15-£16. In my case, the parcel was at my local DHL depot, so I was able to go there, pay the money and collect it on the spot. If you are still not sure, call DHL to make sure that the email you got was legit.

I got the "new" one from Latvia, I recognise it, and it works with the diesel, assuming that it's the same internally.

I paid a lot more than £75 but that price excludes EU tax & duty of course, which mine included.

I'm always looking for a bargain, so having clicked the links above I just searched AliExpress for "Diesel VIDA DICE" and there are loads on offer, as low as £57.26 inc delivery.

Is there a reason why you linked to the more expensive one, are they not as equal as they seem?

I've also found this in a different shape and still under £60 delivered - http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Best-...rchweb201560_9

All of these DICE are chinese clones of the original Volvo DICE which costs 10-20 times as much. Some clones are better than other ones. Quite a few people have bought their DICE from that particular seller that V40Alex has linked above, as they are selling a good quality copy.

I check the one in your last link http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Best-...rchweb201560_9 and it does indeed have all the microchips on it, so hopefully it should be able to do the job. Some of the inferior DICE units had many of the microchips missing and would not read the S/V40 1.9D no matter what you tried.

Yes, not all clone DICE are the same. Your link looks like it does but I couldn't see in the listing text that it definitely supports the x40. Just check with the seller first - ask the specific question whether it supports the S/V40 1.9D.

Do let us know how you get on as we all like a bargain on here
