Swapped the SRS unit, problem sorted, no illuminated dashboard airbag light. Car passed its MOT yesterday and while driving home noticed the airbag warning light on the dashboard illuminated again! I'll check the under-seat airing connections etc.

It may just need a simple reset. Get the codes read and hope that the SRS001 code does not come up. If it doesn't, you should be able to reset the SRS. If it still does not reset and you are not getting the srs001 code, then that means that either the seat buckle is faulty, or the wiring to it is faulty

Unfortunatly i have checked the SRS system, and it doesn't connect to the Delphi program.

That is odd. Can you read the SRS codes with the old SRS module?
Also, where did you buy the SRS module from? Was it in good working order?

I bought it from ebay, don't know if it was good or not.
No garanti.
I will try to check the car by another program tomorrow at the workshop.
I didn't put the old SRS module back!
Let us see what will happen tomorrow.
Thanks

Default Airbag light issue

I've got an airbag light issue on my V40 2004 - on ignition it goes out and then almost immediately comes back on - do I have to get the codes read and use a code reader to reset the SRS once the problem's sorted - or can the problem be sorted without using a code reader - would a code reader identify the issue in detail? I've checked the connectors under the seats - not sure how to check the buckles - there are cables going up the buckles that look intact. Would it tell me if the squib is in need of replacement? Any help gratefully received! Ben
