Nice sentiment but this is causing more harm than good, if you want to leave a car the best thing is really just to put it on charge, I leave some of my cars that are infrequently used on a decent smart charger with trickle function all the time.

If you want to run it, take it out, full operating temp, no less and a minimum of 20-25minutes or else you are only depleting the battery with each start 10-15min idle. The engine oil is also just washing all the condensation into the oil and unless you make operating temp this will not steam out the oil and dry it instead the oil is just taking in the water. There is also then the issue that idle oil pressure is not the best so the engine is sitting running albeit with no load but not being properly lubricated.

Hello to all
Sorry about late reply. Being a front line worker sometimes we need to do extra extra.

Hope you are all well and safe, in another lockdown.

Today I put 13ltrs of diesel on the Lady. I turn on the ignition and off for 3 times to see if the fuel circuit could be bleed.
I crank it 3 times before the battery went dead (I forgot to charge it, its on charge now) and no cigar it didn't start.
Tomorrow I will try again with full juice
I will also try to connect Vida and see what the readings are on the fuel pressure. Could it be the fuel pressure sensor?

Well lets see what happens tomorrow.

Many thanks

STAY SAFE

Good luck for tomorrow and thank you for doing front line work. Even from another country, it's very much appreciated (we're all in it together).

I wouldn't mess around with VIDA right now, first take care of your battery. Electronic gremlins tend to ome out with low battery...

Hello to All hope you are good and safe.

Today with a full charged battery I tried to start the girl....no luck. It cranks but doesn't start not even caught on trying to start.
Fuel tanks marks half of tank. It looks like there is no fuel getting to the engine.
Im getting worried...
Many thanks

KEEP SAFE

What's the temperature where you are? If it's cold (below zero), it can very well be something with the fuel.

When did you last change the diesel filter and/or let the water drain from the filter? If there is too much water in the filter, it doesn't need double digits to freeze.

Hello last update...

Today I took the pipe after the MAF and spray some brake cleaner (i couldn't find easy start...
I crank the girl and she tried to start even had for a few seconds a kind of idle but quit after 3 or 4 seconds. did it a couple of times. Then I stop not to flat the battery.
I could see the message engine service urgent!!!

I read this on a old post here but to the other member the car started alright after that , and they say the reason was glow plugs???!!!!

For you Obi Wans any idea what to do next ?

Many Thanks

Hi.
Having a wild guess from far away it sounds like you`ve popped the intercooler.
Have a look at the bottom of it to see if it`s bowed and there is oil leaking out.
The fact that She`s trying to run means it`s not terminal.
Diesels run on boost all the time so if the intercooler has popped it will really struggle. Check all the intercooler pipework for holes .
Could be the turbo but i would expect it to run and be completely gutless.
Do first things first and others will be along to help.
