Default 240 rear axle

Hi,
I'm looking for a 240 rear axle complete, preferably from a late model manual transmission so it has the same final drive as my current one.

I'm based in london/essex and obviously can't travel half way round the country for it with the current restrictions. If anyone has any suggestions for good breakers i could try, i'd also appreciate that.

Thanks.

Still on the lookout, but I have come to the conclusion that i also need it to be a late model with the speed sensor, but not an ABS model. I'm getting the feeling this is an unrealistic ask,

Have you tried lakes volvo breakers at wyboston?

Very few 240s with abs in the U.K., so you’ve quite unlikely to accidentally buy one.

Cheers

It’s a 1990 GLT 2.3, 5 speed manual

1990 is the cross over. If your GLT is on K jet then you will need the 85-90 12 tooth tone wheel type. If on LH2.4 you will more likely have the 48 tooth type 90-93 axle. You will need to find a matching axle for the speedo to work

What are you doing with the old axle? What is broken on it? I'm after a late model one to rebuild, I have all the internal parts I need but need a casing
