Default Dog guard gas struts..

Hi guys.. do any of you know where I can get hold of the short gas struts for the Volvo guard I have fitted in my car, a 1998 V70 Estate.

I don't have a dog, but the guard sure comes in handy for keeping stuff secure in the load area. I've had to remove it as it got to the stage it was just hanging down.

I'm probably being a skin-flint as Caffyns Volvo are selling them for around £25 each inc delivery on Fleabay, but after buying a set of new struts for my tailgate for a tenner the struts for the guard would put a serious dent in my weekly pension..

Thanks.. Dave..

Think the part number is 9481274 and should be available direct from Volvo

Given the price difference (SGS about £15 and Caffyns Volvo £25), personally I would avoid the SGS strut. I have used them on different cars and all failed soon enough. SO the genuine one turned out to be cheaper in the long run.
