Default Volvo S40 2002 1.6ltr Alarm Probs

Hi All , I have a small problem , after playing around with my alarm today i think I may have created a fault. ( why must I play )

When I turn my alarm on the internal motion sensor does not want to go on nor dead locks and now a light problem when starting the engine .or closing the door

this all happened today after sitting in the car activating the deadlock and motion sensor alarm then reseting it , the watching the Led timeout flashing fast for +- 5 minutes ..... o nooo help me please anyone

When sitting in the car and i close the doors , activate the alarm ,the interiour light as well as the button used to disable motion movments (reduced guard button) turns off as normal , but normaly after 20 seconds the deadlocks would have kick in , but it doesnt . the Led flashes 1 per second on the dash .

What also happen the interiour light and Motion disable button light remain on for +- 30 seconds when i start the car then both go off together , this also happens when i sit in the car and let it time out with the doors closed . but if i sit inside with the door open the light remains on on the (reduced guard button)

the alarm will sound if i try open the door manualy with the key but will not detect my hand movments , has anyone got an idea ? to help me I have checked the bonnet switch as when i arm the alarm and close the bonnet the Indicaor lights flash to show activation has taken place.

Best Regards

Matthew Stratford
