Red face Pad wear sensor

2018 V60 pad wear sensor, does the model have one, the reason is that I have a noise on the rear brakes and when checked found the pads worn out.
Bought the car last year form a reputable Volvo dealer who never mentioned pad wear. Have only covered 4k and the car has done 23 k would have thought they would have lasted longer.
The main reason for the call is that you would have thought they would have had a warning light on the dash as a precaution fortunately I was not far from home

There is no sensor, and on that platform if you are more of a sedate driver the do seem to wear the rear brakes faster than the fronts. Bad show on the dealer though, unless there has been a fault where one pad has worn much more quickly, that should have been obvious on the 18k inspection…

If you're using the adaptive cruise all the time that is why they've worn so fast, if you monitor it the AC brakes when you would just let the car slow naturally and quite harshly as well.

Hi
On my v60 premature rear pad wear, on inside pad, occurred due to parking brake piston not sliding back properly when disengaging.
Lubricated piston and replaced pads both sides.
