Mill Garages in Tyneside have become part of StoneAcre and are offering Polestar for £599 as a celebration promotion.
I had both of my XC70 done and it is well worth it imho. |

That is the garage I baught the car from, it's 6 hours each way from me but it was the car I wanted, 12 hours to view and buy, 12 hours the next weekend to collect. Still think it was worth it 6 years later. Paul. |

Got price reduced to £675. The dealer matched the price I got from another dealer, so can't argue with that!

Go for it quickly before he changes his mind. Or a trip to tyneside. Would the £75 saved cover the fuel and time?
Being West coast when I head north of the border it's M6/74 Glasgow M8 Edinburgh and A92 north don't know the roads on the eastern side of the country. Paul. |

£600 for a remap- am i reading that correctly?
are there not generic downloads available for a third of that ...? had my previous 530d done that way with flap/dpf/and egr delete transformed the car |

Have a mate with a Celtic upgrade on his 520 bmw, it never sees a dealer and he has his own diognostics but if by chance it ended up at a dealer any updates would overwrite his map and that's another £350 to have it reinstalled. Polestar also garentee to not affect reliability nor does it affect warranty which is why it's a mild optimisation not a screaming rocket machine. Back in the days when I biult competition motors you tuned till it went bang then took a step back. Polestar is that step back and on paper is not worth the money given the gains you receive, however it makes the car so much more drivable that for my money it's worth every penny and having had it would not now be without it. Paul. |

Car was already booked in. Car is under Volvo Selekt warranty, and as Polestar will never be wiped by any Volvo upgrade, it gives peace of mind. Appreciate Volvo iTune up won't take the car to the limit.

map
i assume i have the polestar on my xc70 ex police 205 manual-its fine for purpose-plenty go for a 4x4-it wont ever see the inside of a volvo dealer in my tenure lol
i simply feel at over 500 quid its a bit of a p take a lot of remapping outfits will redo it if removed free of cost anyway each to their own-i only did it with my 530 as it was manual and egr/flaps/dpf are a bugbear with them-plus 230 ish bhp to 300 is a really noticable increase if it wasnt for the egr/dpf deletes though i wouldnt have bothered ,car was fast enough anyway |

Called my insurance about window tints, they wanted to treble my policy to over £1000 for the year.... Changed insurer today who was sensible and when on phone asked about the polestar optimisation as told them getting it done Saturday. They said it wouldn’t be an additional fee as it doesn’t appear on their modification list (esure). If I simply told them chipped/modded then it would have been an extra £100. Seems some insurers are not fussed about Polestar additions.

Strangely enough the VoC recommended insurer wants to add a 10% Premium |
