Default REVISED South West Group meet Sunday 1st November 2009

The South West Group is pleased to throw open an invitation to the next meeting.

With a start at Exeter and an end at Axminster it should be easy for people from Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset and beyond!

We've chosen a nice country pub with great food and an entry in Camra's Good Beer Guide It's even family friendly with plenty of safe parking.

They've even got a skittle alley!

http://www.oldinnkilmington.co.uk/

The plan is to meet at Exeter Motorway Services (jnc 30 on M5), near the entrance to the main car park between 10:00 and 10:30 for an 11:00 getaway.

Then we can convoy to The Old Inn in time to arrive for 12:00 noon and lunch.

We'd like to fit as many in as possible, but space in the pub is limited and we'll have to book our tables as quickly as possible.

Please post below, letting us know how many people will be in each car and we'll get a large table / tables booked.

We look forward to meeting you!

Tigger.

Those up for it!

  1. S. Hammond
  2. St5ve + 1 and dog
  3. Tigger, Eeyore & Roo and dog!
  4. Steve 74 (possible - awaiting confirmation 18/10/09)

19/10/09 UPDATE: Pre-meet option added. Morrison's car park, Liskeard, 8:45 for 9:00am.

Hi - Old Inn, Kilmington here - I noticed a bit of traffic hitting my website from your link so thought I would investigate - will be great to see you all at the pub on 20th. We have a field at the back which we open for overflow parking so there is plenty of room. The pub itself is quite small so if you could book before hand that would be great.

Sundays lunch is a roast meats menu with fish and vegetarian items - S Hammond - let me know food heavens and hates and we will try to help.

I notice you pasted in a picture of the skittle alley - did you plan on having a game - this will need to be booked in advance - it can be fun but somebody needs to 'stick up skittles' at the far end. I can get one of my league team lads to do it - they charge £20.00 a match - worth every penny as it is back breaking work. No hire for use of alley.

Any further info required just let me know

Duncan

Thanks for posting!

You might save me a job here if you wouldn't mind booking a table for, say, 12 for Sunday lunchtime and we can then adjust the numbers up or down as necessary nearer the time.

I think we were just planning on Sunday lunch at the moment, but if people fancy a game of skittles, that's fine by me

Tigger.

Default Confirmation

We do not do any fried foods on a sunday - will happily do sausages and mash with gravy for Mr Hammond.

I am away for a few days this week.

Please confirm final numbers etc to the pub by phone on thursday or friday. If you ask for Alison she has all my notes.

regards
Duncan
