Default Free electricity offer on new Hybrids

I have just read a report that Volvo are offering to refund a year’s worth of electricity to private and business customers who buy one of the 7 Hybrid models in their range between now and 30 June 2020 - report on www.aol.co.uk

The electricity usage will be monitored on the VOC App and at the end of the year, Volvo will refund the electricity cost based on the average price of electricity.

How do drug dealers work?

They give you first dose, or few, for free.

Then you're hooked up and pay trough your nose.

No, I'm not against Volvo here, but ask yourself: how long before revenue from petrol/diesel falls enough that government will start looking for ways to make up?

By, possibly, putting road tax on electricity?

No such thing as a free lunch. You will be paying for it somewhere along the line. Probably biult into the price you pay for the car.

Same as the wonderful trade in price you get, well more than the car is worth and you know it. If you know it so do they.

Paul.
