Xenon headlamps
I have a 2014 V40. D2 R design with xenon Active headlamps.
I car is RHD and I need to Change the headlamps to LHD, moving abroad. My headlamps do not have the switch to move From L to R. There is also no option to change it to temporary LHD on the settings. (My V60 Has). On the top at each end of the headlamp is Up/Down and Right/Left. Does anyone know if these small bolts can he moved to allow for LHD ? I have attached a photo. In anticipation. Steve |

I’d check your manual - the online one says no adjustment is needed on xenons.

On some year models there was a lever inside the headlamp assembly which needed to be moved across to change from RHD to temporary use on continent. I had this on my previous XC70 MY2008. You need to take off the back cover of the head lamp assembly so that you can see the rear of the bulb unit and flick the lever across. On the XC70 you took the headlamp out and onto the bench or table to make it easier to access and see what you are doing.
If you search within these forums you will find reference to the how to, there is also u tube available showing how to do it. The flat beam that does not need changing for continental use is only on newer models. Early senses did indeed have a software system to change. But active bending lights fitted to pre senses had a manual lever to move them across. If I were more computer savvy I would put a link across to a previous post in XC70 section for you. S is of some use to you |

Thanks but I don’t have the lever.
