WTD: 740 duck tail spoiler

Time for a Christmas miracle

I'm after a 740 Turbo saloon duck tail spoiler, as per the pic below (sorry about the size, its a direct link to the original pic)



Its the 'soft'/rubbery one with a distinct kick up that was an option on the 740 Turbo I believe. There was a flatter one, but I'm after the one with the marked kick up.

I know its a long shot, so if this advert hasn't been updated to say I no longer want one, I'm still looking.

Yes indeed. I saw this pic and thought it looked really good - and period correct. I remember a lot of cars in the early-mid 90s had spoilers like this.



I've also seen the smaller version which I also quite like - this is also a genuine Volvo accessory apparently

I could be wrong here Sam but I would have thought the 940 boot having its slight curve would cause fitment issues with a 700 series spoiler as the rear end on those is practically flat. I can send you a photo on WhatsApp as I've got a 7 & 900 saloon parked next to each other right now.

Being rubber, wouldn't it conform to the contour of the 940 boot?

Saab 9000 spoiler might be easier to find.

My mate got 3 different Saab 9000 spoilers for his 940 saloon I think the third one would have fitted but he sold the car before finding out, turns out there's about four or five different spoilers for the 9000.

I've seen 940s with the SAAB 9000 spoiler, and in fact that silver one that tempted me to buy the Barzetta wheels had a 9000 spoiler on its boot - but the ends don't conform to the body line to my eyes, so I was hoping the 740 one might be a better fit. I ideally wanted to keep to genuine Volvo parts, but I might have to be flexible on that.

I've been looking at BMW 5 series spoilers as well, but so far haven't found anything promising. I'm not in any rush, so I'll wait and see what I find at classic cars shows next year.
