Default intermittent problem with auto box

bought my XC60 new on june 2011 no probs till one month before first service
when I was putting her into drive the car would jerk. This would continue for a few days then go away. Put her in for service of course it didn't happen in garage but the service guy said they had given her a software upgrade. Took her home and the problem had gone till 2 months before the 2nd year service same problem again told them about it in garage said they would check it out couldn't find anything wrong. Took the car home problem had gone but 2 weeks later problem returned and it comes and goes all the time now sometimes the jerk is so bad you feel the whole back end is moving.
I want this problem sorted before warranty runs out as I don't want to end up paying for a new auto box.
Any help would be much appreciated as the dealer hasn't been much help so far and neither has Volvo uk.
