Default Focus ST to V70 M66 gearbox swap

The gearbox on my 54 plate 2.5 T5 needs replacing. The baulk rings are goosed. I've spoken to several gearbox repairers/recon companies who either don't touch the M66 or don't know anything about them. I've been told by Don at Kalmar and several others that you can't get any repair parts for the boxes at all. So it's been suggested that the box from a Focus ST will fit the V70. I've compared the ratios and they are are identical apart from reverse and a slightly lower final drive. I've found a box from a Focus ST for £250. My question is, will it fit direct without any mods, such as linkages and drive shafts, etc?

Thanks, Paul

Also thanks to Don who's just supplied me with one of his great Ferrita exhausts that looks and sounds fantastic!
