Default V70 - JCASE fuses -Only to be replaced by Volvo workshop?

Hi,

I recently bought a V70 (57 Reg) and unfortunately did the fuse go for the 12V sockets (basically due to me dropping some coins and a 1 pence copper ended in the 12V socket).

Easy enough I thought, i will just find out which fuse it is and replace it.

But I was really surprised to read in the handbook that it says "... are of the 'JCASE' type and must only be replaced by an authorized Volvo workshop".

Why would that be? It seems extremely silly to book a time for a mechanic to change a simple fuse.

Has anyone got any idea why they would put that in the manual?

Many thanks
Jon
