Noise when turning steering wheel
I have a noise when I turn the steering wheel on my 2013 S60. It's been there since I bought it last year and it hasn't got any worse. I sounds like an electric motor and a bit like Sooty and Sweep arguing, I'm showing my age there.
It might be normal but I wondered if it could also be something like a dry rubber seal on the steering column. Does anyone else's car make this sound? |

Oh dear. Is it really just mine that makes this noise?

Does it kick in when steering wheel is fully locked in either direction? And resembles chirping?
If so, then it's always been there - at least in my case. |

Is it like a creaking noise? Mine does it in cooler temperatures when the wheel is turned past 180 degrees - eventually diagnosed as the clock spring which the dealer claimed to have replaced under warranty but it started again six months later. Horrible noise but I put up with it now
