V60 2013 D2 rear parking sensor sounder has gone quiet
2013 1.6 Drive E estate. My rear parking sensor has suddenly reduced in volume. It is still just audible. The info screen display still works normally. Any suggestions how to fix this? I assume its a piezo buzzer or similar. Where in the boot is it?
Thanks for any help! Last edited by nputtick; Sep 13th, 2019 at 09:05. |

Have you tried turning the volume up when the buzzer is sounding?

Had the same with my sons v40. The rear sensors use the rear speakers. The rear speakers had failed so the sensor sound was very quiet despite being at max volume. Set the output from the radio to rear only and see if it is also very quiet as that was how we found out the issue. Had to have a new speaker.

Brilliant - fixed in 10 seconds! I knew each audio source could have its volume set independently, but hadn't considered it for the parking sensor volume. Thanks for this, and hopefully it will help someone else too.
