Default 2005 XC90 Dip Beam Fault!!

Afternoon Guys.

So as a matter of course, ive changed my headlight bulbs out for some brighter ones (previous were working fine) however dip on both sides is not working. Full beam is working, have checked the dip fuses and seem to be ok. Even put the old bulbs back in to check and still nothing!

Help??!!

What condition are the bulb holders (ignitors) in?

a) Assuming they are halogen - check the connectors, sometimes the spade terminals don't quite align to the socket and the blade on the bulb goes up the side of the socket.

b) If they are higher wattage lamps - they may not work as on MY 05 and later cars the headlights are switched and monitored electronically. Try standard wattage before going further.
