Had a letter from them today updating their records apparently - well if your looking Nat, Hamish or Adam - get stuffed - send yerselves on a Customer relations course - a 3 month course might just help you deal with people better.

Question

Hi TDS3,

I would like to know what went wrong, as My boyfrind recently went to the tuning place in Bromsgrove with an engine problem, and said everyone was really nice and helpful.

They managed to sort the problem out in the same day and he came home well chuffed.

It's just we we're thinking of getting a RICA upgrade there.

Thanks.

shame you have had a bad experience with v/t, regretably although there are some complaints there are a lot of happy v/t customers here, although i must confess the product is teriffic and outways hamish' somewhat opinionated perception on things.....

Well lets just say that my RICA took hours & hours to set up, involved me making 2 seperate visits too VT - i was there the 2nd time from 8.45am until 19.00pm even though i should have been at work at 3pm and the car still wasn't making the full power it should, all i got from Adam was if i'm ever passing again call in as he was sure he could get more power from it - seeing as i live 120 miles away i'm hardly going to be ever passing, plus i had already spent a previous day there having some mechanical work done but Adam still spent 3 or 4 hours on the RICA the first day too, hence me having to go back. So as well as the initial cost of all the RICA it cost me extra for a Boost Controller which they claimed i needed, but i probs didn't i'm guessing as the car still wasn't set up right, it cost me two lots of petrol, 2 full lost days and got me in trouble at work too.

Oh and yes there all nice people don't get me wrong, until you have to query something, or something goes wrong etc...it's a case of most people are bamboozled by science and get fobbed off by their explanations.
