V70 Body/Trim: Drivers door lock...???

Ok, here's a new trick my V70 has just started playing.
Remote fob, lock doors, drivers door doesn't. Only the snib moves..a couple of mm but does not lock.
Ok, Try using internal door switch, same issue, only moved a couple of mm but didn't lock.
Pushed snib down. Try internal door lock switch, nothing....maybe a twitch but no unlock.
Push snib down and use key fob.....door unlocks!!!???!!!
Clearly door panel is coming off tomo but what am I looking for?

In all probability replacing the lock. However, if all the other locks are working correctly and given that it drivers door works manually using the push down lock button and unlocks manually with the key it might be wiring fault in the door cable. Check for a loose plug and any wire damage.
