XC60 Issues

Just a couple of things nagging me at the moment and I would like to know if anyone else had had similar:

1. When braking and cornering at the sime time I can hear a creak/groan from the front - anyone else hear this? It is usually noticed at low speed.

2. I occasionally get the 'BLIS requires a service' warning/fault on the console - it will happen for a day then nothing for weeks, I have cleaned the camera lenses, could it be a loose wire? Any suggestions?

Probably software issue with the BLIS.

As for creaking etc drive a bit more before taking it to dealer. May be something to do with car being new?!

I have had the BLIS service message a few times, every time I have given both cameras a good clean and then restarted the car and it is ok. I think it is dried water on the lens. Restarting without clean would not fix.

However on one occassion if failed and the BLIS lights flashed continuously (really fast) - my god - it was so annoying and distracting and dangerous. We had to stop and turn the car off and then turn on again BLIS still wouldn't work until I cleaned lens but at least they stopped flashing.

Have also have child looks require service message come up - child locks were all working and then message went on restart. Dealer said no record of it when computer connected to car.

Also had one button (I think it was active bending headlamps) refuse to turn off. I would press button it would go off and then a second later come on again! I tried over and over, a restart of the car fixed problem.

My worry about all this, is the city safety, adapting cruise control and auto-brake - I hope these are more reliable!

Not heard the creaking/groaning either.

Haven't got BLIS so can't help there.

I will be listening for the groaning now though...

Never had a problem with BLIS but sometimes get an "Alarm Service Required" message when getting into the car although everything seems to work fine.

Not heard any groaning & creaking from the front, in fact the XC60 is easily the most refined car I have ever owned. Might be worth asking the dealer on that one.

there is definitely a creak from the front when breaking and cornering at slow speed - negotiating car parks is where i notice it most.

Will drop it into the dealers at some point.

I tried today and actually I take back what I said before, mine creaks as well. When breaking and cornering slowly just like yours. I am not worried about it though, it doesn't sound like anything is wrong just the weight of the car making it all creak a bit. My '05 Audi A4 Cabriolet used to make similar noises when on full steering lock and going very slowly. That said, I would be interested to hear what your dealer says.

Thats software. I think it's Just CAN upgrade for that. Don't hold me to that, but it is definately software.

Have XC60 - no creaks, no weird behavior of the BLIS. Just lovin' it.
A couple of friends have remarked how unbelievably quiet it is when driving on local roads and the highways.

Hi, did you manage to get this sorted?
If so, can you confirm exactly what they did and what dealer?
I have the exact same problem. It's much louder when turning left , but can can sometimes hear it when turning right. Dealer has changed some parts, but still the same problem.
Anyone else had this problem?
