Ryan is on holiday, and can read the forum but not post...or something like that...so he's asked me to reply.

It came from these guys:
http://www.spoilershop.se/volvo2.html

Getting the right bits was complicated, but it was the following parts, as illustrated (each piece on a different car!)...

Front splitters - "Addon till 740. Nu finns dom att beställa av oss" (pics above and below)
Side skirts - "Ny typ av Vinge 740"
Rear valance - "Bakjol 740-760" (both pics are of the same thing)

It took quite some doing to make sure we got the right bits. The guy didn't seem to appriciate which bits went with what to form the original bodykit. He's a British ex-pat, from memory.

Oh...and we had to go and get it. There was no way he'd ship. It was a good holiday, so I would go for it...and schedule a pit stop en-route to pick it up!

cheers

James

Thats a link to a pic of America's Pride and Joy. A 500+ hp Twin Turbo LS-1 Corvette Engine, swapped into a purple Wagon.

Its Body Kit seems custom fabricated by morphing two, newer model, Volvo front bumpers together. from a head on approach __++

:+++Found in the link above, the bumper looks to me like if it was professionally done from scratch.

Not my cup of tea but who made this one?
(Googled VMAX bodykits, but nothing,so I assume it's not them that made the kit)

I think those skirts are one of the OEM types. The rest may well be aftermarket. The rear could be the "add on" rear valance.

Oh...and the Volvette bumper just looks like an 850 T-5R / 850R one. It might have been tweaked to fit, but the basic shape is the same.

cheers

thanks guys, these references are extremely helpful.

My 740 front was smashed into perpendicularly by a fellow volvo going about 45 mph. (i was at a standstill) Only the plastic bumper and factory lip suffered cracks and bends, no dents or scratches on the metal of THIS tank

I think a bodykit will greatly improve the handling and aesthetics of my brick my reducing the airflow under the car at expressway speeds.
and if only minor fabrication is needed to match an 850's front to my 740, i think ill start calling up the junk yards right away!

Again, thank you for the help..

Default Nice wheels

A question for Chesh740R, just seen the photo of the silver 740 turbo estate in silver, I think the kit looks awesome! I tried to send a pm direct, but not allowed yet due to being new here.

Just wondering if you could let me know the make/model and size of wheels you used on the silver 740, as I quite fancy a change for something bigger.

Cheers, Stu
