Good to hear, will just have to see what the wear is like now.

So far around 1400 miles and no perceptible signs of wear running at 31psi front & 29psi rear increased by 2psi all round when used for sustained 70mph motorway or longer distance constant running but rear increased to 34psi with heavier loads - I do check and alter the pressures as necessary on a regular basis!

(Mine are 195 x 65 x 15 V - 94XLs)

Sorted! All back together apart from the belt. It wasn’t the most pleasant job in the pouring rain! Went dark again, so hoping to skive off Work a little early tomorrow so I can get the belt on.

I'm doing 700+ miles weekly at the moment so will get a good idea of the rate of wear pretty soon. I've been too lazy to check the pressures this weekend with the awful weather, I'll have to experiment to see what works best. Was your mpg affected when you changed tyres? Not the same but when I switched to Bridgestone All weather tyres on my previous car my MPG dropped by about 3-5. Mine are 225 x 45 x 17 W 94

The Michelins replaced Uniroyal RainExpert 3s - the Michelin's mpg is slightly better I think but I have been using the higher octane Shell in the last full tank refuel - so its difficult to make a direct comparison.

This morning I braved the wet weather and changed the engine oil and filter on the XC70. I also located the knocking issue at the rear, this is being caused by the rear drop link.

Successful morning. 😁

Drove over a screw.. At least it was worn tyre so I won't bother repairing.
I'll just change for new(er)

Of course shops are closed on Sunday and I finish work way too late to get it done over weekdays..

Replaced the transmission torque mount and the upper torque bar mount with Lemforder and Corteco mounts respectively.
