Intercooler is it worth going larger?
Is it or can I upgrade my intercooler along with a remap will it be beneficial.

YES You can fit a upgraded intercooler, and yes it is worth doing as once you change it you will never have to do it again, the car will breath better , the STD one is large and works well but it does blow,, you can get a direct swop unit, only mode is longer bolts and spacing washers, I got mine DO88, from parts for Volvos, but the price has now gone crazy, others have use kl-racing
they are a better price, if you can weld,fab, pipes you could just size one from say ebay, and make it fit, I don't know how much extra power you will make , as I sat the STD one is large, but a uprated one will never blow , also if you look on T5D5 forum, some on there have a intercooler and pipe work made and fitted by a good Volvo mech, Tim Williams , so if you don't do your own work he will be the man to go to, and he may help on the remap , I have been reading that people travel along way to have him work on there car as he can be trusted and he knows the Volvos inside and out, Dave |
