Default Lights flickering after Alarm Service Required Message

Hello.

I recently got a message on my 2005 V50 2.0 diesel which said alarm service required and the alarm kept going off and the internal and external lights kept flickering. It has been in my local garage for three weeks and they cannot find what is causing the lights to flicker.

The alarm siren unit has been check and is fine. But we are at a loss as to what is causing the lights issue. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Any advice is gratefully received.

Thanks.

Christo

Is the engine running when the lights are flickering? Could be problem with alternator regulator.

Past 7 years old the siren goes bad. Try removing its fuse
