Default Tips on changing heater core

Hello, im going to change heater core on my 96 V40.
Is there any tips to give?
Do i need to remove the whole dashboard?

Yes, whole dashboard has to come out I am afraid. Not a hard job to do, but quite tedious and will take you quite a few hours to do. If you have never done it before, and you are not a mechanic allow at least a whole day for it.

Also, when it comes to removing the air distribution airbox that houses the heater core, it will help if you loosen the blots securing the adjacent airbox that houses the AC core. You will understand what I mean when you get to that point

Don't force anything, take pics, label / bag bits. Not necessary but if it were me I'd remove the front seats.

Have you disconnected the water pipes that go into the back of it

Only 1 if you mean pipes that go into heater core, have no room for second pipe to unscrew
