One proviso the seat only has one seat belt and one centre belt anchorage so you are buying a six seater conversion

Does anyone know if the 740 conversion kit will go in a V70?

I had one from my 740 and dad has just got a V70.

I know it is definitely different, so I suspect not.


There is less space in the V70, and the seat backs are more vertical, as this is controlled by robust linkages I assume the larger, older set will not fit in the newer smaller car correctly.

I am looking for a near side seat belt for the rear facing seats...as when I bought my conversion in june I turned out that one didn't work! Don't suppose yours happens to be near side and in working order?

Hi yes you can fit rear facing seats into your car. Now I'm not 100% on weather or not ALL the 7 / 9 series will fit but I would suspect they will. All the holes will be pre drilled both for the seat base an the seat belt mountings. Its simply a case of getting hold of a set and bolting them in. Prices will vary probably from around £40 from a breaker to over a £100 from an ebay robber. Good luck
