Default How the heck..............

Just wondering how I fit a SIM card into S80 phone system. I can see the device that is supposed to handle this (under the parcel shelf in the boot), but for whatever reason I can't see where it's supposed to fit in. The manual isn't particularly helpful and supposedly you can just push something in and it should pop up ready for you to put the SIM card in. However this doesn't appear to have worked.

Additionally what is the Volvo part to allow Bluetooth connectivity on my system. I have a HU-801 deck.

In order to put in your SIM card you need to push one of the buttons and then it comes out and you put the SIM card in. From memory on the right hand side you have something like up and down and then one with menu it's the one understand that. Give it a go (i.e. push the panels) and if you can't figure it out let me know and I'll go into my car and let you know exactly where it is

Genghis thanks for the advise. I have looked in the boot, and under the parcel shelf. All I can see is a black unit (see picture) can't see any up/down/menu buttons on this unit in the boot.

If you are able to take pictures please show me I am looking in the wrong spot.

The phone on the dash is a standard HU-801 DIN. It has all the buttons to make a call and turn it off/on but there is nothing where you could put in a SIM card.

Found elsewhere on the web:

There are 2 variants.
1. Small tray in the passanger compartment just below the keypad. It will fit the sim only.
2. The older variety is in the luggage compartment beneath the rear parcel shelf. This one needs the sim attached to the credit card sized carrier, which most unused new sims are supplied that way. Look for a credit card sized slot. (if detached some people just tape it on a credit card carrier.)

Niloc I suspect I have the "older version" as I do not have a slot under the keypad for a SIM card. I do however have the one under the rear parcel shelf. Earlier in this thread I uploaded a picture. So I suspect that the credit card size hole you're mentioning is on the left hand side of that picture. I don't seem to have a credit card holder in there?

When you purchase a new sim card, it comes in a credit card sized card like the one in the image. All you need to do is tape the sim card back into the credit card sized holder.

Thanks there Niloc, mmmm do I risk doing that with my SIM card or look to the Bluetooth option. Does Volvo make a bluetooth adapter or similar for phones that support Bluetooth, this way I don't have to go through the hassle of getting one of these old credit card sized holders, or getting something similar in shape and size and taping it on there and trying it on the car.
