3/4 length vintage roof rack

Hello everyone,
I have an 1988 740 estate I'm going to fit a vintage style roof rack to. Chrome, wooden slats, 3/4 length so it doesn't go over the sunroof. My question is will I need to get one custom made or do others fit, Vw racks etc.

Hi I know a guy in Thirsk .Yorkshire who has a full length roof rack sitting in his Garage he's a retired antique dealer if anyone interested let me know .

How about something like this and fit your own wooden slats? I haven't seen many that are adjustable for width like this one.

J Liddy would this be the genuine Volvo roof rack which is aluminium?

If so I might be interested for my 940.....

Hi I am thinking the roof rack is made by a specialist roof rack maker they were made just for volvo 700 and 900 if you woud like further information from the chap in Thirsk I will contact him and pass his details on for you .
