Just pointing out that cancelling orders after 3 or 4 months when new MY22 cars are available in 4wks to rent on their website seems crazy. If you build to rent you can fill an existing order that was placed 3 or 4 months ago ‘or’ offer a first place in the line for a MY23 of similar value to the original order rather than cancel orders without any meaningful apologies or incentives to stay with Volvo as some have reported on Facebook.
The MY22 cars are already built so they're not knocking pre-existing factory orders back down the queue. I ordered my XC40 on 9th December and collected it on the 30th but this was when the website quoted a 4 week delivery rather than the 9 weeks it's stating now.

Ordered a C40 for my wife in mid-November. Estimated wait to delivery was i think 5-6 months making expected arrival May to June. Just had a phone call saying it will be next week! that's 3-4 months early and must be one of the first in they country I think

Late cancelation from someone else that matched your spec ?

I can't see how they realised that your car was running 4 months early with only a week to delivery. Though it could be down to poor communication between the factory/dealer/customer.

Well, they emailed me the app three weeks ago which was suppose to update me as to status but it has never connected. But it is one in a series of rubbish information flows from care by Volvo. And it was the dealer who contacted me to announce the imminent arrival. There was a delay in collecting the first direct debit deposit which might have mucked things up a bit too (their inability to collect the DD promptly meant that the dealer couldn’t see what was happening as the order was not properly confirmed until then.

Dont think we have a cancellation - they are just delivering far more than they expected (available in 4 weeks now) and we must have been among the first to order because it wasn’t mentioned on the website until v shortly before

You're going to love it! I've done 3k miles in one since the start of December last year and really enjoying it.

Good to hear you are enjoying, Matt90. We are getting it 1 March now, still slightly miffed at getting so soon - need charger in different bit of garage to reach and didn’t think I needed it yet. Going for the contribution to cost of installation so can get a zappi or similar so hopefully harvest better from our wind turbine
