Default V70 D5 engine noise??

Hi all I am a new member to the forum so hello! I have an 06 plate V70. It is fitted with the D5 engine euro 4 I believe. 185bhp variant. I am experiencing a strange ticking noise that appears to be coming from the top of the engine. I dont think it's coming from injectors. The noise speeds up when tbe rpms increase and slows down at idle. I will include a video of the noise. I wondered if anyone could shed some light on what it could be? Potentially hydraulic lifters? Thanks in advance!

Well I would say lifters. I'm about to order them. Mine are so loud on cold start outside (in garage not so much or not at all) but after whole day outside on winter day, that noise ia like some old 3 cyl traktor until warms up

Cheers passenger for the reply 👍🏼 it sounds terrible tbf but the car is driving fine. No loss of power etc. Just the noise. Is it a big job to change the lifters? All injectors etc need to come out don't they. Then cam cover off? It's due a cambelt anyway so I may as well change that while I'm in there

I'm not doing that alone. I did few stuff alone but that no way

Well injectors for sure out
then you have intake manifold: clean all and If you have luck that flaps are okay. If not: 130€ Volvo. Trust me, while flaps are you, do something to make sure that connection rod between stepmotor and flaps is fix.

I'm not sure for timing belt. Because that I will let independent Volvo mech do it.
Buy INA only: 270€ 20 rocker arms and lifters. Also you need seals for intake manifold, injectors
