Default B20 Rocker shafts

Anyone know if B20 Rocker shafts are available new? Looking for a pair for a Rover v8 rebuild. Cheers.

Volvo B20 rocker shafts in a Rover V8 engine? Tell us more. Why for example.

Yes I think they are available but not cheap.

Its a common mod that was done to allow use of adjustable rockers.

The rocker shafts I have are quite worn so I want to replace them. To put standard Rover rockers back means replacing the complete rocker assembly including the pedistals and all the pushrods.

Am I right in thinking the Rover V8 has hydraulic cam followers negating the requirement for any adjustment?

Doug.

Here you go. Other vendors probably list them. Just do a Google search using the search term 'Volvo 418305'. It is still available as a Volvo OEM part; but, at a rather silly price.

Yes they do have hydraulic followers but the adjustment makes setting preload a lot easier.

It was a common mod on rover V8s. Mine was modded before I got it, so just looking to replace like with like. Putting stock rover parts back means swapping out the push rods and pedistals too, along with the shafts and rockers.

Nordicar has them listed at 129 euros so about £265 for a pair delivered! Then I still need to replace the rocker bushes...

Maybe I'll switch back to stock Rover parts!

A stock Landrover rocker shaft is £12, too bad its the wrong diameter!

A complete new rocker set (2 off) with shafts, pedistals and rockers is £280.

Give Brookkhouse Volvo or Amazon Cars a call.. Don't bother with the EU companies, freight and import duties are stupidly expensive now.

Check out the VP Autoparts link I posted. More like 78 Euro - still not inexpensive.

Thanks. The pic makes it look like its a used part?

Sadly pattern Rover shafts are £12 each... So putting in Rover shafts, rockers, pedistals, pushrods (all 16) comes to £350. Two new Volvo shafts from Brookhouse comes to £250 plus rebushing 16 rockers....
