A few hundred miles in.
Hi,
I have had my new to me 2010 XC90 D5 Auto for a few weeks now and have clocked up a few hundred pleasurable miles in it. I have however, noticed one or two issues. The parking/foot brake was not working so i went back to the supplying dealer who sorted it but after a few uses it no longer holds the car, I also wanted to get a transmission flush but he didn't inspire me with confidence when I took it there to be done and asked if he was just doing a drain a refill or flushing it so I made my excuses and left. I have since noticed one rear disc is extremely ridged and the other has only got 50% contact between pad and disc. I do not wish to take it back as after all they gave it a mot with no advisories the day I got it, I do not wish to return the car for a refund either. I would love to do the work myself but am unable to do so as I can't get down on (or rather back up from) the floor to work on it. With that in mind has anyone got any recommendations of reliable and trustworthy garages in the Stoke on Trent area as we only moved here recently? Sorry for the long post. |

Sounds fishy? Can't see how it passed the MOT in that condition. I use Jenkins at Stone Van and Truck garage on the Mount Industrial Estate. No nonsense, he's racing his truck at Brand's Hatch today. Get an opinion from him, it'll be forthright!
