Default Amazon Insurance

Who's flavour of the week for Amazon Insurance? I've just had my renewal through and it's £107 pounds more than last year!! I won't say who it is other than it is one of the popular classic car insurers. I suspect it might be mostly age-related having passed the magic 80 in January. Insurance companies don't seem to like that. I doubt if plain statistics are involved here. No, there won't be many Amazon owners that are this age, but recent quotes, and what you paid if you haggled, would be good to know as ammunition for when I'm on the phone. Thanks.

I'm with Peter James, and they quoted the same price as last year, though with a different insurance company.

Hi Derek,

I've been with Fluxdirect a couple of years and was quoted £130ish to renew on an Amazon estate, 5000 miles per year. With a bit of haggling, I got this down to £90ish . This amount has decreased about £30 or so , which I can only assume is due to my age - leaving my twenties and entering my thirties.

Regards,

Tom

The cost was £404, but this is for 5 cars, so not sure what 1 would be.

Hmmmm. I wasn't going to say, but it's Adrian Flux that has put up my renewal fee.
