The petrol fillers are all the same. With the uk filling point it will not fit there but you guys use the acme filler.
What I tend to do is make a bracket to mount it under the bumper. |

740 conversion
I have a 740GL Estate Hreg 1990 with the 1986cc fuel injection engine 200k miles but she runs well, no rot and doesn't burn oil so she may be worth converting. From looking at your posts on here it seems you do conversions? If so could you let me know what it would cost to get mine converted? I'd prefer to have this done with someone who knows Vovos!

200'000 miles has never put me off a conversion before. I've converted quite a few older volvos at this kind of milage and they are still going now and 3 and 400'000 miles now.
I asume you have the B200E with the machanical injection rather than the later electronic injection or turbo. Tank wise the 740 takes a 70 ltr toroidal (spare wheel shaped tank) under the boot floor in place of the spare. Price wise for the mechanical injection engine you are looking at £870 fully installed. For a Turbo or electronic injection car fitting a multi point injection system would be £1100 all included. I use good quality equipment that is back with full manufactures waranty. |
