Default Washer pump/reservoir stuck

Hi. I'm trying to replace the washer pump on my 2008 S40 2.0D. I jacked it up, took the wheel off, removed the Torx screws holding the wheel arch lining in, removed the two Torx screws holding the lower reservoir, and found there is some sort of hatch/hook on the reservoir stopping it from dropping down.

The Haynes manual shows a gap in the inner wing to depress the hook with a screwdriver, so I removed the scuttle panel and wiper arms but I can't find the opening to access the hook. Has anybody else struggled to unclip it? Am I missing something? Do I just need to snap it and move on?

Thanks.

I had the same problem and broke it in the end. There are enough bolts to keep the reservoir securely in place. Mines been fine in the 6 months since.
I think if you're careful you can just lift it straight up out of the slot where it engages in the inner wing.
