Thumbs up 2011 S40 Driv e

Hi.

I have a 2011 S40 in black, 6 speed manual, 1.6 Diesel, FREE ROAD TAX which has just had its cam belt kit changed but does not now accelerate.

As a result, the mechanic removed the head to check for bent valves but they were fine. New head gasket, new diesel return fuel pipes, diesel filter put.

Starts but no acceleration. ONLY 133K ON THE CLOCK, MOT is currently valid
I have one key, 2 brand new tyres, used to drive without any issues and good turbo.

Open to sensible offers, consider it a non runner. You can view this S40 at 5 Turnbury Close, SE288QP. Ta Kassie 0782887 9494

That sounds like the mechanic has not put the belt on properly, it only has to be a little off then the timing is out of line, one of the pully wheels is off by a tooth, which is exactly the result your experiencing, I’m not a mechanic but it’s the obvious answer as it was fine before, take it back an get them to sort it properly,
