Default Volvo Amazon Rev Counter, a real beauty

Volvo Amazon Rev Counter, a real beauty that i am considering selling, we all know these are rare so what do you think is a reasonable price? I would put it on mine, but I’m not sure, the money would be helpful, but I love this piece, it’s like art lol..... it really is 😁 I dint think it has ever been fitted, the wires and connections are unmarked.
Not sure how to add photos, so I can email if anyone is interested.

Hi Paul, it’s got the white needle, I’ve heard there are a few versions out there.

Default Tachos...

White needle will likely have a silver inner bezel. It's an accessory part, intended for either the 120 or 140 series.
How many wires and their colours?
The dial will have a part number in the bottom quadrant.

They're a nice thing and work quite well, provided you're still running points. They don't play with points eliminator/ electronic triggers.

Hope this helps.

Yes this looks like the accessory one for the 140 series, same unit other than the foot that’s dit’s in the dash, this has the round one.
The wires are black and white.

Default Rev counter feedback

Hi Aggy, thanks for getting back to me, Ideally one with an orange needle is the one I am after.
Best of luck in either fitting yours or selling it on.

The wires are black and white.
The round foot isn't an issue. It's an official accessory that works with both.
There are a couple of different wiring combinations.

White needle easily made orange with some humbrol flouro orange.
Access to the instrument is from the front, the fascia and lens pulls off, carefully.
Pic is of mine, with painted orange needle.

What you are calling a round foot might actually mean the proper foot, which is about 3 times longer than it is wide, is missing. Pictures of that please as I've only seen long foot ones.

This is a round foot. More common on the 140 series and it's genuine Volvo. There's also a small spacer to compensate for the dash pad material and prevent it being squashed.

Here's a link I found handy when understanding the wiring, which can differ.
