Headlight washers won't retract
Hi All!
On my 2004 V50, the headlight washers just developed a problem. They won't retract. Both of them are staying extended after usage. I can push them back with my hand and they stay that way, but after using them again, they again stay extended. The nozzle works, washer fluid is properly coming out of both of them. Any help is appreciated. Thanks |

They might have got gammed up so the force of the water is enough to force them out but too much resistance for them to retract back?
I'd take them off the car and clean them out with warm water and pull out the nozzle so you can clean through the whole thing using a pipe cleaner or something, refit and see how they are? That's a bumper off job. If it didn't happen to either of them before and then suddenly happened to both of them maybe it's something else though? Don't know if the car creates some sort of vacuum after it's sprayed and that's failing instead?
