V70: Engine - Warning - Castrol Edge is not ACEA A5/B5 - Page 5

I know this an old thread but I've just changed my oil and after browsing back and noticed this and was shocked that the recommended oil by Volvo was now not compatible.

Anyway I've just checked the bottle that I got from Halfords does say 0W-30 Acea A5/B5 so is it ok now?

Yes, the Edge A5/B5 is the one you need for it.

I use this oil, bargain price and has been fine in my S60 185 for 80k.
Just bought an s80 D3, and going to use it in that as well, I change it every 8k as it's cheap.

I'm using this brand too, they also sell it on ebay in the 20 litres.

I've just done my 3rd oil change in 13k miles - as I sometimes get the dreaded oil rise from fuel, I'm paranoid about changing it every 4k to 5k miles now.

Luckily I only live just down the road from them so it's usually about £12 cheaper for me to pick it up than get it off eBay, but Even the eBay price is still a bargain .

Just switch to LIQUI MOLY Special Tec 0W-30
Excellent Oil and made specifically for Volvo Requirements
